My artwork aims to explore the relationship we as people have with the natural world. This piece represents windows into nature, they juxtapose the starkness of the white wall behind, which represents our man-made metropolis in which nature fights to get through. My mixed media textile wall hangings are displayed in a range of sizing and utilize strong themes of folklore, biology and life and death. They are made from a variety of textile based processes in order to create depth and texture, the majority made through free machine embroidery on dissolvable fabric.
