'Sunken' should speak for itself to the viewer in a language only they understand. My work is all about meaning and that is individual for each and every person, but when you look at this piece, try to piece together the story, the distraction and the feeling, the loss and hope. Sadness is well known and usually caused by the absence of something, but the more you focus on it the more you will find missing, the more you focus on what you have, an abundance of things you will find. this is an example of the pit you can spiral into from focusing on the missing.
