Charlotte Pierroz's final piece represents ambiguities found between paintings and sculptures. Through the creation of this piece, she worked towards finding balance between her conscious and subconscious worlds . Letting go of her daily biases and own troubling thoughts was a big part of the piece exploration. This way of working allowed Charlotte's senses to produce the final outcome rather than articulated words, which was very comforting for her.
Foundation Year - Fine Art
Charlotte's main inspiration was taken from discussions at a textile workshop she attended prior the start of her project. However, she was also inspired by artists such as Jessica Stockholder and her painting like sculptures as well as Sonia Gomes and her use of organic shapes.
WHY WAS THIS A PERSONAL PASSION OF HERS?
This project was a personal passion of hers as it allowed Charlotte to escape her daily life. She uses art to communicate unarticulable words through the use of colors, shapes and patterns. Furthermore, this project helped her grow as an artist as she constantly went against her biases ingrained by social constructs in society.

WHY DID CHARLOTTE TITLE HER PROJECT THE WAY SHE DID?
Charlotte titled her project ' Creation of Serendipity' as she constantly developed her work through randomness, by trusting her intuition.. A lack of control is shown through her use of recycled fabrics and materials in her project. However, even though, Charlotte explains that her work is created through the inspiration of randomness in nature, shapes are meticulosly controlled by trusting herself and her instincts.

In her work Charlotte used a wide range of recycled materials. Somes examples include: second hand fabric, already used sponges and plastic bags. Furthermore, Charlotte also used fabric and metal thread to hold shapes together, acrylic paint, tape and gun glue
