THE DIARIES OF A CHOCCY MILK DRINKING GOTH

...

Tia's project is called 'The diaries of a choccy milk drinking goth' which she came up with while drinking choccy milk at 3 in the morning. The title is representative of her everyday life, and is quite different and out there, like she is. She is working towards producing a diary/log of her everyday life using film/video, photography, drawing/sketches, and writing. Tia wanted to include an aspect of performance as next year she will be moving onto the acting course, and it would be a nice way to bridge the gap between art and acting. Her goal is to have portrayed everyday life and to have given an insight into who she is, what she does, and how she spends her days.

WHAT WAS TIA'S MAIN INSPIRATION FOR HER PROJECT?

My main inspiration was a project I did previously called “the everyday”, where we portrayed everyday objects either in or out of their normal setting. I based my project on the idea of using myself as the subject, so portraying myself in my everyday setting.
WHY WAS THIS A PERSONAL PASSION OF HERS?

I wanted to include an element of performance in my project, as I will be moving onto the acting course in September 2021, and I am very passionate about acting and performance.
WHY DID TIA TITLE HER PROJECT THE WAY SHE DID?

I thought of the title at 3am while drinking choccy milk, and I feel like the title reflects who I am, and how weird I am.
WHAT WORK DID TIA PRODUCE?

I produced a digital diary/log of my everyday life as I felt like that would be the easiest way to portray my project. I also thought it would be the most effective way to get everything in one place/curate the volume of work I would produce.

WHAT MEDIUMS DID TIA USE AND WHY?

To create the content I used photography, video, writing/note taking, and songs, and for the curation I used Wix.
